Where are the socks made?

The socks are designed by our team in Amsterdam after extensive research to discover what people look for in the perfect sock. Because of this approach, we are able to ensure the perfect fit, length, touch and look necessary for you to succeed in your day-to-day tasks. For the manufacturing process we established a partnership with a family-owned factory in Portugal, who are notable for using the highest quality fabrics and possess over 50 years of production experience with complex designs. Besides guaranteeing only the highest quality products, this partnership enables us to proudly offer a fair and sustainable product.

What sizes do you offer?

We offer two sizes that comfortably cover everyone. If you are right at the cut-off point, go for the larger size if you prefer longer socks (two-thirds of the calf covered). Either size will fit well around your foot owing to the stretch of the socks.

What are Gentlemen Socks made of?

The socks are made from pure Fill d’ Ecosse – a yarn loved for its superior strength and durability. Harvested in Egypt, the fibres are then mercerized twice. The moistened and stretched mercerized cotton fibres are subsequently passed through soda, which will make them swell to become cylindrical and make the socks more resistant and soft.

How should I wash my socks?

To ensure the longest durability and highest quality, we recommend you to wash your socks inside out at 30°C.

What is the length of the sock?

Our socks are designed to stay up throughout the entire day. With our mid-calf socks we avoid ever showing your skin when wearing your favourite pants.


How does a Gentlemen Socks subscription work?

Our mission is to make sure you are all set to achieve your ambitions without having to worry about the essentials. Once you become a member, we will take care of the rest. Just choose the styles you like, tell us which colors you prefer, and how many pairs you want to receive and  we will deliver your socks through your mailbox on a quarterly basis.

You can choose between 3, 4, or 5 pairs per quarter, 4 different colours and 3 different styles.. Each quarter, we will handpick your socks based on your preferences and socks you have received before. For example, if you choose a subscription for 3 pairs per quarter and include 3 colours and 2 styles in your preference menu, we will mix these styles and colours over the 3-pair deliveries throughout your membership period.

When are recurring payments deducted from my account?

Recurring payments are deducted exactly every 3 months. For example, when you become a member on 17 January, the payment for the second batch of fresh socks will be deducted on 17 April, the third on 17 July, and so on.

When will I receive my pairs?

As soon as we received your first order, we aim to get your first pairs to your doorstep within 3-5 working days in the Netherlands. Outside the Netherlands this could take up to 5- 7 working days depending on the country. Please refer to the “Delivery and returns” section for more information regarding delivery and returns.

For recurring orders in a subscription, you will receive your socks either at the start or midpoint of a month, whichever is the earliest after your recurring payment is processed. For example, if your subscription renews on April 6, you will receive fresh styles mid-April and if your subscription renews on April 23 you will receive a package early May.

Can I pause or cancel my subscription?

We find it difficult to believe you can have enough of our luxurious footwear. However, if you are running out of closet space and you are drowning in socks, it is possible to pause or cancel your subscription on your personal account page.

Order and Payments

Which payment methods does Gentlemen Socks accept?

For every order, you can pay using a credit card, debit card (IDEAL) and your PayPal account.

I need a VAT receipt for my order, where can I find it?

After you place an order with us or your subscription renews you will receive a receipt of your purchase / renewal. You can always e-mail us on with your order number and request an extra invoice per mail.

Your Account

Where can I find my account?

To make things easy for you, we have created a dashboard in your account page on which you can view your recent orders, manage your shipping and billing addresses, and edit your password and account details.

Do I need to create and account to place an order?

You need to create an account to place your order. However, no extra steps are required during the checkout process and having an account will allow you to view your subscriptions and orders, manage your shipping address, and change your preferences..

How do I change my personal details?

Within your account page you can easily change your account details when needed. Just fill in your most recent information and save your changes accordingly.

How do I adjust my preferences for styles and colours?

Changed your mind, no worries! It is fairly easy to adapt to your changing preferences. Just go to “My Subscription” in your account page and adjust your preferences regarding the number of pairs, your size and style preferences by clicking on “Change Membership”. After you confirm the changes, your subscription is automatically updated and the updated subscription should be displayed in your account page.

 Where can I see my order history?

Within your account page you can view your orders and the status of your orders under the tab “Orders”. By clicking on “View” under Actions, you can view your invoice, the respective subscription and when the next payment will be due.

Delivery and Returns

How are the socks be packaged?

High-quality and sustainable products deserve secure and responsible packaging. Your socks will be wrapped in tissue paper and delivered in 100% recyclable packaging that fit through your letterbox – no plastic involved.

 To which countries does Gentlemen Socks ship?

Gentlemen Socks is currently shipping to the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

What are the shipping costs?

The shipping costs are free for all subscription orders and gift boxes.

What is the delivery time of my order?

Once your first order is placed, we aim to deliver your order within 3-5 working days within the Netherlands and within 5-7 working days outside the Netherlands. You will receive a confirmation e-mail when the order is shipped and delivered.

Can I track my subscription delivery?

After every order you will receive an e-mail conformation of your order. When the order is packed and leaves the warehouse, you will receive another e-mail confirming the shipment including a Track & Trace. By inserting the Track & Trace code on the webpage of the respective carrier you can follow the delivery of your favorite accessory.

Can I exchange or return an item?

If you are not happy with your purchase and wish to return an item, it is possible to do so within 14 days from receiving your order. You can open the package and check the contents. However, returns will only be accepted when the products are unused, in the original packaging, unwashed and with all labels still attached. For hygienic reasons, we don’t accept returned socks if the packaging has been opened.

When will I receive my refund?

We will refund your return as soon as possible and at the latest within 14 days of receiving your return. We always refund your money to the bank account, credit card or PayPal account that was used for the order.

If I am living outside the Netherlands, how can I return my item?

Please ship it back with any carrier arranged by yourselves, unless there is any damage to the product delivered. In that case, we are more than willing to take our responsibility and reimburse the costs.

We focus on the traceability of our raw materials, which are sourced on durability and highest quality with the ecological impact in mind. To ensure a fair product, we developed a thorough relationship with our manufacturer who owns a family-run factory in Portugal.
